Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology

About

Since 1930, the University of Washington’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program has provided students with the didactic knowledge and clinical skills they need to treat a broad range of communication diseases and disorders. You’ll learn about existing and emerging research and technologies, and you’ll gain interpersonal skills to counsel and guide patients and families through treatments and rehabilitation.

Our master’s degree program is one of the country’s best graduate programs in speech-language pathology. The program was ranked No. 5 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 rankings. It’s also accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the nation’s leading professional organization for speech-language pathologists and audiologists.

The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program is offered by the UW Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences and was developed in partnership with UW Continuum College.
