The UW Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology provides you with the foundational speech-language pathology curriculum you need to launch your career as a speech-language pathologist. Our program is unique because it also gives you the opportunity to specialize in one of three professional practice settings: education, medical or clinical research.

Specialized Curriculum

Literacy development and disorders, special education, cultural and linguistic diversity, and language development

Traumatic brain injury, dementia, right hemisphere disorders, complex neurogenic disorders and medical setting voice treatment/assessment

Statistical analysis, research methods and a research seminar, plus pairing with a faculty mentor who oversees research training, lab work and master’s thesis
